The Questions Are Piling Up....

As a mother of four, the questions continue to pile up. Am I doing this right? Am I making the right decision by leaving my career of 15+ years working in Energy, Supply Chain, and Operational Excellence behind? Should my husband quit at this time as well? Should we hire a nanny, opt for daycare, and who handles sick days when we both need to be working. I had so many questions, and that was when I started talking to various moms, and they all shared similar stories. Many were experiencing strenuous relationships with their managers, and didn’t know how to respond properly. Another woman wanted to move across the country for a new career that would support her and her family in ways she had always dreamed of, but that meant her spouse would become a stay-at-home parent and she was terrified by that. The one that got me really riled up was a lawyer who wanted to close her big law firm because she felt she couldn’t combine it with family. As you can imagine, we had a very long session where she mapped out her goals and aligned them with her desires in motherhood, and she just had her biggest year yet while living her best life.

This past week, we’ve seen moms come to the Motherboard Experts for a variety of reasons and it’s clear that we are on to something. Over the past few years, I can see how much better I have gotten at not making certain decisions. Before, my impulse had been to make the decision without data, without another set of eyes who understands what I am going through so well, but I have since retrained myself to point certain questions at someone else equipped o answer them, and get the feedback I need to move forward.

Give the Motherboard a try today.
